Microchanneling

Microchanneling is a non-invasive esthetic procedure which stimulates our body’s natural ability to rejuvenate the skin via controlled micro-injuries which heal scarlessly but result in rejuvenative effects; very similar to it's popular predecessor, Microneedling. In a Microchanneling session tiny pins penetrate the skins surface and break down damaged layers of tissue which triggers the formation of new collagen and replaces previously afflicted or maturing skin with a visibly healthier complexion. As the epidermis repairs and skin volume is restored a fuller, brighter, more youthful looking complexion is unveiled. Microchanneling is painless and virtually requires no downtime as the pins only penetrate .25 mm into the skin, barely traveling beyond the surface whereas Microneedling can be uncomfortable to sit through / result in redness, petechiae ( a form of hickey-like bruising ) and sometimes dryness or scaling because the needles go up to 2.5 mm into the deeper layers of the dermis

The differences between Microchanneling and Microneedling are their application methods and severity of side effects. Microchanneling uses a needle-tipped ampule to deliver beneficial botanicals using a shallow stamping technique that yields minimal injury to the skin; Microneedling consists of a handheld device which glides across serums applied directly on top of the skin but delivers significantly more of these micro-injuries in deeper layers of tissue, resulting in discomfort during the session, heightened side effects and downtime. Ultimately Microchanneling and Microneedling are both great treatments; They refine large pores, improve skin texture, soften lines, lighten pigmentation, fade scars and stretch marks. However Microchanneling leaves skin plump, rosey and glowing whereas Microneedling leaves one red, bruised and swollen... If you don't have prominent imperfections Microchanneling is great for preventive and no downtime treatment. If you have a more afflicted complexion, consider Microneedling. Both utilize growth factors, collagen peptides and stem cells to aid in recovery, enhance results, diminish and prevent further signs of aging

Microchanneling is safe for all ages and skin types. Properly conducted treatments will not result in pigmentation or keloid scars on individuals prone to them. The slight pinkness Microchanneling causes typically subsides within a few hours
